Precious Moments New Building Appeal

Hospice of the Valleys is building a new hospice centre on the former steelworks site in Ebbw Vale which will be home to our offices and clinics. We currently care for over 500 patients a year, both at home and at our clinics.

Our clinics are presently held in community venues throughout the borough, such as churches and clubs, and although we are most grateful to the community for providing us with these venues, privacy for therapies and personal discussions can be difficult. Our offices are currently situated in Morgan Street, Tredegar and with the demand for palliative care on the increase we are rapidly outgrowing the space, now with over 20 staff occupying just 6 rooms.

Our appeal is to raise over £2m to fund the construction of the new centre and we have already reached £350,000.

The name of the appeal is PRECIOUS MOMENTS which recognises the work we do in helping people come to terms with their illness and releasing them from fear so they can focus on those things which are precious in their lives.
