Volunteering

Roy Noble Tred Shop.jpg

With over 130 dedicated individuals who give their time and energy freely to the Hospice we would not be in a position to provide the care that’s needed by our patients. Our volunteers help us in a variety of ways:-

  • Helping in the Charity Shops
  • Helping at clinics to provide tea and refreshments
  • Transporting patients to and from clinics
  • Driving the Hospice van delivering mobility aids to patients
  • Collecting furniture and other donated goods for resale in our shops
  • Participating in the various events we have organised
  • Organising their own sponsored events and other fundraising functions
  • Helping to man the Hospice offices

Shops

Abertillery Shop.jpg

We have six charity shops which form a vital part of our fundraising effort. Together they raise over  £150,000 annualy. There are always opportunities for people to help at the shops either as front of shop sales staff or behind the scenes.

Our shops are situated in the main streets of Abertillery, Brynmawr, Ebbw Vale, Tredegar and Blaenavon
