Home care (only for patients who reside in Blaenau Gwent)

Our specialist care is available 24hrs a day all year round in the patient’s home. We work in partnership with your GP, district nurse and hospital teams. The Hospice is contracted by Blaenau Gwent Local Health Board to provide specialist community palliative care in the Borough.

Our team is available in the day and a nurse is always on-call at night and at weekends to attend if you need help.

Each nurse is assigned to a particular area of the borough:-

Cheryll Durham is the specialist nurse in Brynmawr, Blaina & Nantyglo
Louise Taylor is the specialist nurse in Ebbw Vale and Cwm.
Jane Cuppelditch and Sharon Levannais are the specialist nurses in Abertillery, Llanhilleth, Brynithel, Six Bells and Aberbeeg.
Alison Jones is the specialist nurse in the North of Tredegar, Ebw Vale and Beaufort.
Angela Stephenson is the specialist nurse for Tredegar
Kim Jones is a specialist nurse covering for other staff.
